AI Ticket Bot vs Ticket King: Which Discord Ticket Bot Should You Run?

Ticket King is a strong free ticketing bot with no AI. We compare panels, forms, transcripts, pricing and support quality, and say where each one wins.

What is the actual difference between AI Ticket Bot and Ticket King?

Most Discord ticket bot comparisons list forty features and let you guess which two matter. Here is the honest version of this one.

Ticket King is a ticketing product. It gives a member a button, collects answers to a form, opens a channel, lets staff claim it, and saves a transcript when it closes. It does that well, and its free plan is one of the more generous ones in this category.

AI Ticket Bot is an AI product that happens to include a ticket system. When a member opens a ticket, an AI trained on your server answers first. Roughly half of every ticket our bot has ever handled closed without a human touching it. When the AI cannot help, it hands off with a written summary and a priority instead of a silent ping.

AI Ticket Bot

  • An AI answers the ticket first
  • A per-server brain your staff teaches
  • Escalates with a summary and a priority
  • Transcripts kept 90 or 730 days by plan
  • 1 panel free, 5 or 15 on paid plans

Ticket King

  • A human answers the ticket
  • Saved replies and forms your staff write
  • Routes to a role or category
  • Transcripts kept with no stated expiry
  • 10 panels free, unlimited on paid

Neither column is the winner. They are answers to different questions.

How do the two free plans compare?

This is the comparison most people actually want, and it is the one where we lose on paper.

The Ticket King column comes from their own public site and pricing pages, read on 30 July 2026. Products change, so treat it as a snapshot and check theirs before you decide.

Read that table honestly and Ticket King's free plan is the better ticketing free plan. Ten panels against one is not close, and transcripts with no expiry beat our 90 days. If you are choosing a free bot to organise support and nothing else, that is a real answer and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

What our free plan has that theirs does not is the AI itself. Not a trial of it, the same brain our paying servers use, on a smaller daily token budget. That is the trade we made: fewer panels, more thinking.

What does each one cost?

Ticket King's pricing page at the time of writing lists a single premium subscription, priced by server size: 5.99 USD a month for servers up to a million members and 6.99 USD above that, renewing every 30 days, with identical features at either price.

Our plans are 9.99 EUR a month for Premium and 29.99 EUR for Pro, with annual billing at about two months free. The live catalog renders on our pricing page rather than being typed into an article, so that page wins if these numbers ever drift.

What the paid plans change

Premium, 9.99 EUR
5 panels, 10 categories per panel, 730 day transcripts, 3M AI tokens a month
Pro, 29.99 EUR
15 panels, 15 categories per panel, 15M AI tokens a month
Both
Modal forms, working hours, smart inactivity, white label, public FAQ channel, webhooks, analytics

On price alone, Ticket King wins. Ours costs more because the AI costs us money on every ticket it answers, and we would rather charge for that honestly than quietly cap it and call it unlimited. Premium's monthly token budget covers roughly 200 to 250 average ticket conversations, and when the budget runs out the AI stops cleanly while tickets keep working by hand.

Where Ticket King is the better choice

We would rather say this plainly than have you find out after switching.

Pick Ticket King

  • You want the most panels and form questions you can get for free
  • Your tickets are forms to route, not questions to answer
  • You run a gaming community and want Steam account context on a ticket
  • Price is the deciding factor and every euro counts
  • You want deep panel templating and custom commands

Pick us instead

  • Your staff answer the same handful of questions every week
  • Members open tickets at 3am in a timezone where nobody is awake
  • You want a handoff that arrives with a written summary and a priority
  • You want the bot to learn your server's answers rather than repeat a canned reply

There are also things neither of us does. Neither of these is an email, SMS or phone helpdesk. Ours is Discord only and always will be. If your support lives half in Discord and half in a helpdesk, you are shopping in the wrong category and a proper helpdesk with a Discord integration will serve you better than either of us.

Where AI Ticket Bot is the better choice

The case is narrow and it is the whole product: repeat questions.

180,000+
tickets over the bot's lifetime
about half
closed with no human
in seconds
typical first reply
3,000+
servers running it

Those are not marketing figures we typed once and forgot. They come off a public endpoint that anyone, including a crawler, can read.

The reason the resolution share holds up is that the AI is not answering from a generic FAQ. Each server gets its own brain. Your staff teach it with /ai train, in plain sentences, and the next ticket uses what they taught it. A refund window, a role that gets handed out in a specific channel, the one setting everybody gets wrong: those become answers instead of a mod's fifth reply that day.

What does the AI actually do inside a ticket?

Worth showing rather than asserting, because "AI powered" is on every product page in this category and usually means a canned reply picker.

  1. member

how do I get the supporter role?

  2. bot

Supporter roles are handed out in #shop right after purchase, usually within a few minutes. If it has been longer than an hour, say so here and I will bring in the team.

  3. member

    it has been since yesterday

  4. bot

That is longer than it should take, so I am bringing in staff now with what you have told me.

  5. staff

Maya from the team here, checking your purchase.

Three things happened there and each one is a deliberate constraint rather than a model doing whatever it likes:

  1. It answered from your server, not from the internet. The fact about #shop came from something a staff member taught the brain.
  2. It did not escalate on the first sign of friction. The system prompt forbids escalating before it has actually tried, and forbids closing a ticket in the same turn it suggested closing.
  3. The handoff carried a summary and a priority. Billing, account access and abuse land as high priority. It pings exactly one role, the one you wired, and never @everyone.

The model behind it is Claude, reached through our own AI platform. There is no third party AI middleman and no resold service in the middle. If you want the mechanics in more depth, how to train an AI ticket bot covers the training loop, and what is an AI ticket bot covers the category.

Do you have to choose between them?

No, and this is the part most people do not know exists.

If Ticket King already runs your support and your staff are happy with it, you can keep it and add our AI to the tickets it opens. /ticket connect points our brain at another bot's ticket channels. It works on every plan, including Free, for up to 10 connected bots per server.

  1. 01

    Add AI Ticket Bot

One invite. It needs View Audit Log to spot the other bot's ticket channels.

  2. 02

    Connect the other bot

Run /ticket connect with its ID, or use the Connected bots tab on the dashboard.

  3. 03

    Teach the brain

Paste your rules and your five most repeated answers into /ai train.

  4. 04

    Open a test ticket

Through your existing panel. Our AI replies in the channel it created.

The full walkthrough, including what to check if the AI stays quiet, is in add AI to any Discord ticket bot.

That is also the low risk way to test this comparison instead of arguing about it. Leave your ticket bot exactly where it is, connect ours for a week, and read the transcripts.

How we compared these two bots

Comparisons are worth about as much as their method, so here is ours.

Ticket King's side of every table above comes from their own public website, feature pages and pricing page, read on 30 July 2026. We did not use a review site, a directory listing or a competitor's roundup, because those go stale quietly. We did not test their paid plan, so anything we say about it is what they publish, not what we measured. Where we could not confirm a limit, the table says so rather than guessing.

Our side comes from the live stats endpoint and our own plan catalog, both public.

How we measured this

Sample
181,000+ tickets, V1 and V2 of the bot combined
Window
Lifetime to 30 July 2026
Definition
AI resolved means the ticket closed with no staff message in it
Aggregation
Only aggregate totals, never per server or per member data
Competitor data
Their public site and pricing pages, read 30 July 2026, not tested by us

Judgments here are ours, and we sell one of the two products. Read the honest limits section as the part we had the least incentive to write, because it is.

The free plan runs the same brain on a smaller daily budget, so nothing in this article needs to be taken on trust.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ticket King free?
Ticket King publishes a free plan and a paid one. At the time of writing their site lists the free plan with up to 10 ticket panels, up to 5 questions per form, ticket transcripts with no stated expiry, and the web dashboard. Their paid plan removes the panel cap and adds extras like custom commands and panel templates. Check their own pricing page before deciding, since these details change.
Does Ticket King have AI?
At the time of writing, Ticket King's public site does not advertise an AI that reads a ticket and answers it. It is a ticketing and forms system: panels, questions, claiming, transcripts and routing. That is not a criticism, it is a different product shape, and plenty of servers do not need anything more.
Can I run AI Ticket Bot alongside Ticket King?
Yes. Our /ticket connect feature lets our AI answer inside tickets opened by a third party ticket bot, including Ticket King, on every plan including Free. You keep their panels and their close flow, and our AI replies in the channel. It has real limits: we store no transcript for those tickets, we cannot close or rename them, and there is no escalation role ping because there is no panel of ours behind it.
Which one is cheaper?
Ticket King is cheaper. Their pricing page at the time of writing lists premium at 5.99 USD a month for servers up to a million members. Our Premium plan is 9.99 EUR a month and Pro is 29.99 EUR. If price is the deciding factor and you do not need AI replies, that is a straightforward answer.
Do I lose my old tickets if I switch ticket bots?
Closed tickets live wherever the bot that closed them stored them, so export or save anything you want to keep before you remove a bot. Going forward, our transcripts are kept for 90 days on the free plan and 730 days on paid plans, at a public link per ticket. Switching does not migrate old history from another bot, and no ticket bot we know of imports another one's archive.
Which is better for a small Discord server?
If your server is small and quiet, the honest answer is that either works and Ticket King's free plan gives you more panels. The moment matters more than the size: once your staff are answering the same handful of questions every week, an AI that answers them without waking anyone up is worth more than an extra nine panels.
