This page lists what the free plan gives you, what it holds back, and what happens at each limit. The numbers were read from our live plan list in October 2026. They can change, and the pricing page always shows the current ones.
Is AI Ticket Bot free?
Yes, as a plan, not as a trial. You add the bot, run /setup, and the server is on the Free plan for as long as you like. Nothing counts down.
There is also a trial, and it is a separate thing. When a server publishes its first ticket panel, it gets Premium free for 14 days. No card is asked for, so it cannot turn into a charge. When it ends the server is back on Free and keeps its panels, its saved tickets and everything the AI learned. It is one per server.

How many tickets is that, really?
As many as your members open. No plan limits tickets.
The figure people look for is how many of them the AI answers. Each plan has a monthly allowance of AI tokens, and each AI reply uses some. On the Free plan that allowance covers more than 300 average tickets a month at the time of writing. There is a daily allowance inside it as well, so one very busy day cannot spend the whole month.
This number changed a lot in October 2026. On the previous default model we stated 38 tickets a month for the Free plan's AI. The move to Claude Haiku 5.5 made each ticket cost far fewer tokens, so the same allowance now goes about ten times as far.
What happens when you reach a limit?
Nothing breaks and nothing is billed. Each limit has a plain outcome.
| Limit reached | What happens |
|---|---|
| The AI's allowance | The AI pauses until it resets. Tickets still open and staff still answer |
| 1 panel | You cannot add a second panel. The first keeps working |
| 5 categories | You cannot add a sixth to the panel |
| 3 staff roles | You cannot add a fourth staff role |
| 1 open ticket per member | The member is told they already have a ticket open |
| 90 days | Older transcripts are removed |
The first row is the one worth planning for. If the AI pauses often, three things help without a plan change: teach it so tickets end in fewer messages, keep the default model, which is the lightest, or add a token pack as a one-time top-up. What happens when the AI runs out covers this in full.

A simple way to choose: stay on Free until you hit a limit you can name. If the AI pauses before the month ends, or you need a second panel, or you want questions asked before a ticket opens, that is the moment. The 14-day trial lets you see Premium on your own server first. How much an AI ticket bot costs goes through the prices.
Where the free plan is the wrong fit
The honest list.
Good fit
- A server that wants tickets and an AI without paying
- Trying the bot properly, with no deadline
- Adding an AI to the ticket bot you already use
Not the right call
- Servers that need more than one panel
- Servers where the AI must answer thousands of tickets a month
- Teams that want the bot under their own name and avatar
- Anyone who needs transcripts kept longer than 90 days
- Support on a website. The website chat is a paid feature
If you want zero cost with no limits at all and can run your own software, an open source bot is the other honest answer. Free Discord ticket bots compares the kinds of free across the whole category.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. AI Ticket Bot has a free plan that does not end and needs no card. It includes unlimited tickets, the AI, one ticket panel with up to five categories, three staff roles, one AI FAQ channel and saved transcripts. Paid plans raise the limits and add features such as forms, working hours and the website chat.
Tickets are unlimited on every plan, including Free. What has a limit is the AI. At the time of writing, in October 2026, the AI answers more than 300 average tickets a month on the Free plan. After that the AI pauses until the allowance resets, and tickets keep working for your staff.
Yes. The Free plan runs the same AI as the paid plans, on the same default model, Claude Haiku 5.5. You can teach it about your server, and it answers in tickets and in one AI FAQ channel. The difference is the size of the monthly allowance, not the quality of the AI.
The AI stops answering until the allowance resets. Members can still open tickets and your staff can still answer them. You are never charged for going over, because the Free plan has no card on it. A token pack tops the AI up without a plan change.
No. The free plan has no end date. Separately, a server gets Premium free for 14 days when it publishes its first ticket panel, with no card. When those 14 days end the server goes back to the free plan and nothing is deleted.
More of everything that has a limit: 5 panels, 10 staff roles, 3 AI FAQ channels and an AI allowance six times larger. It also adds features Free does not have: questions before a ticket opens, working hours, reminders and auto-close for quiet tickets, your own bot name and avatar, the website chat, custom AI tools, and no Powered by footer.
