AI Ticket Bot v2.5.28: AI summaries, dashboard tickets, bigger Free plan
AI Ticket Bot v2.5.28: your Discord ticket bot now writes AI ticket summaries for staff, runs whole tickets from the dashboard, and gives Free more room.
Dani7 min read
AI Ticket Bot v2.5.28 gives your Discord ticket bot AI summaries of tickets for your staff, a dashboard ticket page that does everything staff can do in Discord, and a bigger Free plan. Custom AI tools can read far more, and your AI can now learn from your announcements.
AI ticket summaries with /ticket summary
Catching up on a long ticket takes time. Run /ticket summary in a ticket, or open AI summary on the dashboard ticket page, and the AI reads the whole ticket and writes a short summary for staff: what the member wants, what was already tried, and where things stand.
- It is written in your server's language.
- Update summary reads only what is new since the last one, and Regenerate makes a fresh one.
- Add note for AI steers it, for example "in English, list what the member already tried".
- It handles long and complex tickets, and members never see it.
It works on every plan and uses your server's AI tokens.
Run whole tickets from the dashboard
The dashboard ticket page can now do everything staff can do in a ticket in Discord:
- Claim, take over or unclaim a ticket
- Rename it
- Ping the member by DM
- Turn the AI on or off for that ticket
- Add or remove members and roles
- Send files with a reply
Staff can now open a ticket for a member right from the dashboard, and every action follows the same staff permissions and posts the same messages in the ticket as in Discord.
Delete closed tickets for good
You can now delete closed tickets on the dashboard: one at a time, several at once, or every closed ticket older than a date you pick. The conversation, form answers, notes and close reasons are removed, and the ticket disappears from every list, search and "My tickets", while your stats still count it. It cannot be undone, so the dashboard always asks you to confirm first. It works on every plan, Free included, for anyone with Manage Server or the new Delete tickets staff permission.
A bigger Free plan
- 5 staff roles instead of 3
- 10 quick responses instead of 5
- Transcripts are kept for 1 year instead of 90 days, from now on
- 1 custom AI tool, so the AI can look things up in your own system, like an order or a subscription
Every limit is on the pricing page.
More powerful custom AI tools
Custom AI tools let your AI look things up in your own system, and they can now read much more:
- Lists of items from your API, such as subscriptions, orders, or status page incidents and maintenances, up to 20 items per list
- Dates and Unix timestamps
- Field names with capitals, like
serverName - Empty (
null) values - Text up to 500 characters, enough for a full status update
- Answers up to 32 KB
When a list is too long, the AI says it is showing only part of it. Tools also get the ticket's channel automatically, so a tool can act on the right ticket, for example closing it in your other ticket bot.
Setup is easier too. The Test button now explains why a field is empty, shortened or missing, for example when a name only differs in capitals, and the custom AI tools docs now include a PHP example for checking requests.
Your AI learns from announcements
There is a new Learn from announcements option in /ai settings and in the dashboard AI settings. When someone who can train the AI posts with @everyone, @here or a member role ping in a channel members can see, the AI learns it by itself a few minutes later, so a quick fix or a deleted post is respected. It's free on every plan and off until you turn it on. It's not just an AI, it's your AI.
When the AI learns from a channel or an announcement, things that only last until a date (an offer, an event, a maintenance window) are now kept with their end date, so the AI stops talking about them once they are over.
Better with other ticket bots
If you use AI Ticket Bot with another ticket bot through /ticket connect:
- It now works with bots that open tickets as threads.
- The AI now understands each ticket from its first message: which ticket bot opened it, the channel and the category.
- While a ticket is open, its messages are kept, so staff can read and reply from the dashboard, get an AI summary, and see these tickets in staff stats. We don't save a second transcript or send a second DM, since the other bot already does its own. That means Learn from closed tickets learns from these tickets only at the moment they close, and
/ai improvecan't use them later.
New setting AI closes tickets: turn it on in /ticket connect or on the dashboard in Settings, Other bots. When a member asks the AI to close their ticket, it says goodbye and deletes the channel (thread tickets are locked instead). It's off by default, because the other bot won't make a transcript of a deleted channel.
Smaller improvements
- New tickets pin their first message, so the Close and Claim buttons are always one tap away in the pins. Give the bot the Pin Messages permission to use this.
/qr usenow works in any channel, not just tickets. In a ticket it works like before, and anywhere else it sends a normal message, as long as you can post in that channel yourself.- Closing a ticket now suggests the close reasons your team uses most as you type, in Discord and on the dashboard, visible to staff only.
/ticket peoplecan now add roles to channel tickets too, and it shows people who were just added.- The message the AI posts when it calls in staff can now be edited into your own design, in Messages in
/panelor in Bot messages on a dashboard panel. The priority and the AI summary are placeholders,{priority}and{summary}, that you can move or remove, and the channel topic only shows what your message shows. - That same message now pings your staff role once, instead of naming it twice.
- When you write a quick response on the dashboard (Settings, Staff), Insert buttons add the placeholders for you: who opened the ticket, the ticket number, and who sends the reply.
- The dashboard AI chat no longer resets when you go to another page and come back.
Fixes
- Close requests: when a member presses "Yes, close it", the ticket now really closes, even on servers where members cannot close their own tickets. Before, the message said "Accepted, ticket closed" but the ticket stayed open.
- If a ticket is closed another way while a close request is still waiting, the request now says "Ticket closed before an answer".
- Ready for Discord's change on 16 November, when channels the bot cannot see are hidden from it: tickets keep their names, and the dashboard keeps a panel's log channel even if the bot loses access to it.
/whitelabelno longer breaks when the avatar link is a single word.- Nexus, our own AI platform, got a round of stability fixes and improvements, so AI answers and summaries are more reliable. Servers that connect their own AI keep working without changing anything on their side.
About the Answered by AI label
Some of you asked whether the Answered by AI label from v2.5.25 can be removed. We looked into it, and it can't: EU rules require AI answers to be marked as AI, so the label stays on every plan. If you'd like other wording for it, tell us in the support server and we can add more versions in a future update.
Update now
This rolls out automatically, with nothing to reinstall or re-invite on your side. Two things are worth a minute: give the bot's role Pin Messages if it doesn't have it yet, and turn on Learn from announcements in /ai settings or the dashboard. Missed the last release? Read about v2.5.25, learning from closed tickets and image paste.
The new lines use plain commas and periods, with no em or en dashes. The 16 November item and the quick response Insert buttons are only true once the site is deployed. The site fix needs to be live before 16 November, so it's one more reason to deploy before you publish.
